With the Kenilworth Portfolio coming up for review tomorrow, what is my strategy? Walking through the thinking process may help other investors manage their own portfolios.
- Know what ETFs are potential investments. Be sure to include a number of ETFs that have a low correlation with the U.S. Equities (VTI) market. Examples are BND, DBC, TIP, LQD, TLT, etc.
- Update the Hoadley-HedgeHunter (H-H) spreadsheet.
- Observe the Rankings and Buy-Hold-Sell Recommendations worksheets.
Buy-Hold-Sell Recommendations: The first move is to sell 10 shares of TIP as that ETF is priced below its 195-Day EMA. That move has already been made so that is final. I won’t mess with the 10 shares of VWO as the optimizer is recommending shares be added to this position. Nothing else is required on the sell side.
